Most of the first draft was written while on large quantities of painkillers and nerve blockers. I took a fall, twisted both knees, and tore my ACL not long into this project. While I’m here, I’d like to thank Kim for the support, Tricia for the edit, and Nick for the time.

If you don’t like a pairing, just skip to the next one. I should make it clear, though, that I cut my teeth on the Mulder/Scully ship wars, and I’m not having any of that nonsense around here.

So here are three stories of the couples from Tactical Submission celebrating their anniversaries. Now, it takes a while to write a whole novel, but let it never be said I don’t respond to loving nagging by loyal fans. Aside from wanting more Jack and Isaac, there were also requests for Amalie and Lydia stories, and even Isaac and Amalie. Along with the more positive reviews came requests for more-more stories, more novels, more information. Reviews from people who seemed to get what I was trying to do with the story began coming in. There were some early missteps with editing and formatting, and there were a few people who really didn’t like it, but a couple months after release, it started gaining traction. I was worried that my readers would get whiplash between the two. The book had been rejected by agents and publishers because kink doesn’t sell anymore, and I had just put out a zero-heat novella that was doing well. When I put out Tactical Submission in November of 2017, it was a particularly large leap of faith. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events, or locales is entirely coincidental.Īny book release comes with an element of risk, a dive into the unknown. Names, characters, places, and incidents either are products of the author’s imagination or are used fictitiously. The only exception is by a reviewer, who may quote short excerpts in a review.
